Coil Transfer Cars eliminate the need for overhead cranes or fork trucks to safely carry out coil-to-mandrel transfers and coil staging by utilizing carts with powered traverse drives, with or without a hydraulic lift mounted to the cart - depending on the application. Coil Transfer Cars can be equipped with turntables for rotating the coil, polyurethane lined platform, "V" deck with or without snub rollers, hydraulic kick off mechanism for unloading, or a "coil present" switch to recognize when the coil is in position on the cart deck. Coil Transfer Cars are designed to move the load in the raised position if required.
