Articulating Bullet Lift for New AGV Application

Low profile articulating lift design for new AGV loading process.

A major appliance manufacturer was going to repair an existing lift that had been in service for many years. However, the repair would also necessitate revising some in-house alterations to accommodate a new AGV application they were implementing. After consulting with the team at Autoquip, the customer agreed that the best course of action to serve their updated application incorporated a new lift design.

The engineering team at Autoquip created a new low profile articulating lift design which included special gravity-actuated wheel stops and a plate that AGV sensors could easily locate. When the lift is raised the wheel stops come up and the cart cannot move until lift is lowered to floor. This prevents inadvertent collisions with the equipment. When the lift is lowered an AGV caring product comes on the lift and product is raised up for customer’s ergonomic use. Then lowered and AGV drives off.
