Portable Lift Table with Telescopic Sliders

Tailored and meticulously designed portable work stand utilized for spacecraft assembly and manufacturing.

Autoquip specializes in designing lifts tailored to the unique needs of the space industry.  We recently undertook a project to design a custom portable work stand explicitly built to support flight hardware. This design deviated from the standard, featuring a top section with extending telescopic sliders to meet the specific demands of the task.

The customer will be using the work stand to hold flight hardware. After the mating is done on the hardware, it would then be extended (on heavy duty sliders) and loaded into a vacuum chamber. The lift is designed for a 550 lbs. capacity with a max height approx. 50 inches from floor, or 6” from the top of the cart. The customer needed this at a specific height, travel, and extension to place the parts on the assembly along with the ability to extend the arms into the vacuum chamber. The extended telescopic sliders are designed with a mechanical screw drive system located at the top of the cart under the metal skirt.
