Introduction
Hydraulic VRC Straddle Lift custom designed to handle the weight and size of motorcycles, this lift was strategically installed to facilitate the smooth transfer of bikes to the upper-level showroom.
Project Challenge
A local Harley Davidson retailer in California was looking to add a vertical lift in their new open floor retail environment with a showroom on the second level. Their prerequisite was that the lift blend seamlessly with their retail environment while meeting specific functional requirements, such as changing out display bikes efficiently in a new open floor plan with a second-level showroom.
Objectives:
- Enhance the functionality of the showroom by enabling easy transfer of motorcycles between floors.
- Maintain the aesthetic integrity of the store’s interior design.
- Ensure the lift can handle heavy loads safely and efficiently.
Our Solution
Autoquip customized a Hydraulic Straddle Freight Lift that will travel of 13 feet and a lifting capacity of 1,500 lbs., perfectly sized for a 6’ x 10’ platform.
One standout feature of this freight lift is its seamless integration with the store’s design. The customer collaborated with their millwork provider to create customized gates and enclosures, ensuring that the metalwork perfectly complemented the store’s interior décor.
The Freight lift is surface-mounted with an approach ramp on the first level, strategically placed next to the stairs leading to the second-level showroom, ensuring seamless operations and easy access.
