Honoring The Passing of Yuggee Mack
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Yuggee Mack, a beloved member of the Autoquip family. Yuggee came to Autoquip in June 1975 and remained a fixture for over 47 years, retiring just three short months ago in January 2023. Known for his tremendous positivity, Yuggee literally had a “whistle while you work” mentality as he could be heard whistling anything from pop music (past & present), to holiday favorites, to any other melody that popped into his head. He was a master craftsman, working on any and all of our manual and CNC machines, and was always the go to guy for a hot project that had to be done quickly and correctly. More important than the work he performed, is the man he was. A shining example of what a true gentlemen, family man, friend and loved one should be in all facets of life.. In fact most around AQ will tell you he was one of the finest people they ever had the pleasure to meet. Yuggee is survived by his family, friends and many coworkers who are struggling to deal with his passing. He was loved and is certainly missed.
Tributes to Yuggee:
“I had the pleasure of working with Yuggee for decades and we became close friends. I discovered a man of great integrity and respect for his fellow friends. He always displayed a warm smile and great sense of humor that kept you intrigued and laughing with him. A man of immense character, great discipline and compassion. I am blessed to have known this great person that I had such respect for. I will miss my good friend. Gods speed Yuggee.” Donnie Crabtree, Inside Sales Rep.
“Mack was one of the finest people I ever had the pleasure to meet. I can’t believe we were just celebrating his amazing career and retirement and now he’s gone. I will miss him dearly.” Michael Merritt, Production Manager
“I had the great honor of working with Yuggee as we produced Autoquip’s 75th Anniversary Video. Our video crew recognized early on that Yuggee was always whistling while he worked. It was such a meaningful characteristic of how much Yuggee enjoyed his work and the pride he took in his job. We wanted to make sure we captured this on video. I am so thankful we have this cherished video to remember what a great and devoted man Yuggee was to the company and everything he did.” Julie Rice, Marketing Manager
