Post-Installation Troubleshooting and Resources
When it comes to industrial lifting solutions, the journey doesn’t end with installation. Autoquip understands that questions and issues can arise even after your lift is up and running. We’re committed to providing comprehensive support to ensure that your experience with our products remains hassle-free, even long after the installation. In this blog post, we’ll share how we support our customers with comprehensive troubleshooting and documentation resources, making Autoquip the best choice for your lifting needs.
Troubleshooting Made Easy
With one visit to our Troubleshooting page, you’ll see that we’re committed to customer satisfaction. This valuable resource is located under the Support tab on our website. It’s thoughtfully designed to address general questions and issues you may encounter during the lifespan of your lift.
The Troubleshooting page covers a variety of devices and topics, from addressing typical operational problems to providing helpful maintenance tips to keep your lift in peak condition. Whether you’re hearing a strange noise or your lift is moving slower than expected, our Troubleshooting page is your go-to resource.
Common Issues
Of the various inquiries we receive, here’s a troubleshooting summary of two of the most common ones. In these situations, we advise clients to take the following steps to troubleshoot these issues:
Hydraulic Lift Won’t Elevate Even Though the Pump Motor Is Running
- Check for fluid leaks around the power unit and equipment
- If you have a new install or if you’ve had recent electrical work performed
- to the primary voltage feed, try reversing the motor rotation direction.
- Ensure down valves aren’t open or energized
- Check the relief valve adjustment
- Ensure that the lift isn’t overloaded
Mechanical VRC Carriage Isn’t Lining Up With Landings Upon Stopping
- The carriage remains suspended by the lifting chains at all times during normal operation
- Standard Equipment: Adjust the level limit switch to the desired position to modify the stopping location of the carriage
- 3+ Level Applications: Place the level limit switch in the horizontal position. Slide out completely from the switch body and adjust as necessary for proper carriage alignment
This is just a sample of the type of useful diagnostic information we provide. From scissor lifts and VRCs to tilters and turntables, we’ve got answers!
Documentation at Your Fingertips
In addition to our virtual Troubleshooting hub, we offer an extensive collection of manuals for our lifts. Our team is big on knowledge transfer, and we work hard to provide our customers with readily accessible and relevant documentation. And because we’re always innovating, we recently introduced AutoDocs, our new documentation access platform. Your lift or control panel will be shipped with a QR code label, granting you instant access to the latest version of your factory documents, including manuals and record drawings.
Our manuals include detailed information on lift installation, operation, safety, and maintenance. They’re an invaluable resource to help you learn and understand your equipment’s functionality and ensure its long-term performance. To gain access via our website, hover over the Resources option on the home page and click the Manuals icon. And for additional convenience we’ve also included them in each Troubleshooting category.
Helping You Succeed
The Troubleshooting page and Manuals are essential tools to help you address issues that may arise. However, our commitment to customer success goes even further. Our Service and Support department is always ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Whether you need technical assistance or have inquiries about maintenance schedules or replacement parts, our knowledgeable team is just a click or a call away.
