Lift & Conveyor System for Cardboard Stacking and Cutting

Tork Scissors Lift with “U” shaped platform improves cardboard stacking and cutting process along with better accessibility for workers managing the process.

A leading manufacturer of paper products wanted to upgrade their system for cardboard stacking and feeding into the cutting machine.  They had an outdated process that did not provide the best accessibility or efficiency for the application.

For this application, we worked with our dealer Alpha Material Handling to understand the customer’s project requirements. Autoquip designed a Tork Scissors Lifts with a “U” shaped platform. Stacks of cardboard will feed in on the left side of the lift table from conveyor lines. They will lift the stack up and feed into the cutting machine on the backside. The operator will stand in between the U-shape to help feed the sheets into the machine on smaller stacks. A removeable piece of gravity conveyor is for larger stacks to help support the load within the “U”.

Alpha Material Handling ordered the conveyor from Lewco Conveyor and shipped directly to Autoquip to install before shipping. Belt drive conveyors installed on each side of the lift are to pull the load (stacks of cardboard) onto the lift while using gravity in between for support to help roll the stack to the end of the lift.
